Hearts to deepen the woes of Mighty Jets

Accra, Nov. 11, GNA - Accra Hearts of Oak look set to vent their spleen on debutants Mighty Jets by handing them a baptism of fire in their 2010/2011 Glo Premier League Week 11 clash on Sunday at the Ohene Djan Stadium.

After stumbling to Liberty Professionals last Sunday, the Phobians are poised to restore the smiles on the faces of their teeming fans and victory against the debutants will serve the perfect tonic. Mighty Jets have struggled to find their feet and have managed two victories so far at their home ground but their performance has been nothing near super.

With their output so far, the three points shouldn't serve a tall mountain to climb considering the fact that the Phobians are 'streets' ahead of them in every department of the game.

Following the loss to Liberty, their third in the season, Head coach Paa Kwesi Fabin has preached the essence of the maximum points against Mighty Jets to his charges at training and the effect is expected to reflect on the pitch.

Captain Karim Alhassan is expected to return to action after suffering an injury in the second half of the Liberty clash just as midfielder Theophilus Appoh, whose exit following an injury virtually rendered the mid-field of the Phobians toothless.

A win will push Hearts of Oak up the standings of their current fifth position and the signs are pointing to that direction since the hosts don't appear to have the arsenal to contain the Phobians. History however, favours the Phobians as they have had the upperhand over debutants with the likes of Kwaebibrem, Mine Stars, Maxbees, Kade Hotspurs, tasting their wrath in recent times.

The topliner will however be at the Robert Mensah Stadium in Cape Coast, where leaders Chelsea play as guests of Ebusua Dwarfs. The hosts have been in modest form since rejoining the elite division this season and are expected to serve a tall mountain to climb for Chelsea, who disposed Kessben at the summit last week.

Second-placed Kessben trek the Golden City Park in Berekum to face Arsenal, in a game that will serve a litmus test of the home invincibility of the latter.

Asante Kotoko's new coach Bogdan Korak will have his first experience of the Ghana elite division when the Porcupine Warriors engage New Edubiase at the Baba Yara Stadium.

After three successive losses, Korak is expected to master the renaissance with a convincing win against Edubiase, who have been above ordinary this season with their attack spearheaded by Asante Kotoko outcast Stephen Manu.

Ashantigold hosts King Faisal in Obuasi whilst All Stars lock horns with BA Stars at Wa.

Reigning champions, Aduana storm Dansoman as guests of Liberty Professionals whilst Heart of Lion look set to deepen the woes of Real Tamale United at the Kpando Park.
