Hearts suspends Joseph Tagoe indefinitely

Accra, Sept. 12, GNA - Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club has with immediate effect imposed an indefinite suspension on midfielder Joseph Tagoe for breach of contract.

A statement signed Mr Ashford Tettey-Oku, Administrative Manager of the Club said all entitlements due the player have been frozen and his conduct has subsequently been reported to the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

The action of the Club is said to follow reports of acts of deceit by the player towards the club.

According to the statement, which was copied the GNA Sports, Tagoe last week called on the Club's Secretariat claiming he has some remittances to access at the Western Union. It said the Club later realised that it was a decoy to enable him travel to Port Harcourt, Nigeria at the invitation of an unknown agent ostensible to join Sharks of Port Harcourt, adding "The Club takes a strong exception to such a situation".

According to the statement, the Club is also considering taking former coach Mitko Kostadinov Dobrev on for making unprofessional approaches to some Hearts players with the obvious intention of strengthening his new team in Nigeria.

The statement said coach Dobrev has in recent times been talking to players who are under contract with the Club, an act prohibited by the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA). The statement said coach Dobrev made ridiculous requests for the services of some players including Stanley Afedzie, Nana Kofi Egyir, Eric Gawu and Laud Quartey.

It said the management would not allow itself to be bullied or pushed into doing something that runs contrary to its interest.
