Hearts scribe for GHALCA post

Accra, Aug. 9, GNA - Mr Ashford Tettey-Oku, Administrative Manager of Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club has announced his intention to vie for a position in the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) as the Association prepares for its elections.

The Administrative manager who is one of the longest serving officers of the Club and a representative of Hearts at GHALCA is eyeing the position of a Vice Chairman.

Confirming this to the GNA Sports, Mr Tettey-Oku said the time has come for him to take his administrative expertise to another level by joining the administrative body of GHALCA to seek the welfare of clubs and Ghana football as a whole.

Mr Tettey-Oku who is also a member of the Hearts IMC said he has over the years acquired a lot of experience in football management and administration, which he said has manifested in the many successes chalked by Hearts, hence he stands high above other competitors.

He described the decision to go for the vice president's slot as very strategic and a launch pad for him, adding, "I believe I can be influential working from this angle of the divide."

Mr Tettey-Oku, a member of the Professional League Board (PLB) and a certified administrator by the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF), hopes to bring his knowledge to bear on the position if given the nod.
