Hearts of Oak not happy with kickoff time

The Managing Director for Accra Hearts of Oak, Neil Armstrong Mortagbe says the club has petitioned the Premier League Board (PLB), to change the time for their match day 4 clash with Sekondi Hasaacas on Wednesday.

Addressing a pre-match press conference on Tuesday, Armstrong-Mortagbe noted that it will be appropriate for the PLB to change the time from 3:15pm to 4pm to enable the club’s numerous supporters throng the Accra Sports Stadium to cheer it to victory on Wednesday.

It’s still unclear if the Premier League Board will grant them permission to move the game from 3:15pm to 4pm since is mandated that all the various league matches across the country must kick start at the same time on match days.

Attacking midfielder Winful Cobbinah noted that the fans of the club have been supportive, expressing the hope that the PLB would accede to the club’s request for a time change, which according to him, could spur the side on to victory over Hasaacas.

“Our fans have been very supportive. I saw some in Bekwai when we played against New Edubiase United and in our other matches. So if the Management and the PLB can do that for us as my MD said, I will be very happy. We need our fans on any day to cheer us on and I know they will do that come Wednesday to help us win against Hasaacas.”
