Hearts and Kotoko Agree To Release Players

HEARTS OF Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko have both agreed to release players to join the Black Stars in their World Cup qualifier against Liberia.

This was decided in meeting between officials of the Ghana Football Association and representatives of the two clubs over the clubs participation in the VODACOM Challenge Cup in South Africa next week.

Both clubs have agreed to raise two teams to represent them in the Ghanaian premiership league and also in South Africa due to the FA's decision not to reschedule matches of both clubs to enable them play after their expected arrival from South Africa.

The caretaker coach of the Black Stars, Fred Osam Duodo would also prune down the list of players he invited from both clubs for the Liberian match since some would be playing for their clubs in the VODACOM Challenge Cup.
