Hearts Turn Attention To Ghana

Scottish Premier league side, Hearts, have turned their attention to Ghana in the hope of bringing some of the country?s most promising footballers to Tynecastle.

The scottish club are close to striking a deal with clubs in Ghana which would see young talent heading to Edinburgh from the African country.

Club chairman George Foulkes, who is also looking into a similar arrangement with clubs in Thailand, has already held discussions with influential Ghanaian businessman Frances Doe Johnny.

Foulkes said: "I met Frances, who is active in politics over there, in the Caribbean and I bumped into him again quite recently in London.

"We got on to the subject of football and I told him about the club and he will be coming over here to visit next month.

"I do not know much about Ghanian football but I know they are keen and enthusiastic and I am sure there is great potential if they are provided with the right training environment which we would be able to do."
