Hearts Coach Vanli: I am under pressure

Can Vanli Can Vanli

Technical adviser of Hearts of Oak, Can Vanli has described the current players of the Accra giants as inexperienced, hence it brings much pressure on him to get the desired results in the interim.

The Phobians are currently facing relegation as they sit on the 15th position on the league ladder having 36 points with two more games to end the 2014/15 league season and a slip in those games will definitely push the Ghanaian giants to second tier for the first time in the club’s history.

However, since the appointment of the Turkish trainer last two weeks, the Phobians have gone three games without a defeat, won two and drawn one as their quest to escape relegation continues.

But the 54 year old trainer has described the current players of Hearts of Oak as inexperienced but admitted the individual brilliance of the players.

“I appreciate the players but the team needs more experienced legs looking at the club’s position on the league log but for individual skills and brilliance, they have,” Can Vanli told Nyira FM.

He added “we have a strong team, strong individual players but you know it’s not enough to be strong individually. We need to rather build a strong team and this will take us three years but I am trying to do it in some three months which brings a lot of pressure on me”.

The Ghana premier league is in recess and when it resumes the Phobians will take on Berekum Chelsea at the Accra sports stadium.
