Hearts Chapters denounce Jones

THE National Chapters Committee (NCC) of Accra Hearts of Oak has described the statement by Jones Attuquayefio that the club is not being run professionally as unfortunate.

According to the NCC, Hearts have within its ranks well-defined structures backed by a constitution which every professional club requires.

"If men of substance like Nana Wereko Ampem II, Ato Ahwoi and Harry Zakkour, backed by the hardworking Thomas Okine management, are running Hearts, who is Jones to comment on how the club is being run", the deputy national organiser of the NCC, Mohammed Alhassan Musah, noted.

Speaking to the Graphic yesterday, Mohammed Alhassan Musah stressed that Coach Attuquayefio's comment was unprofessional and quite unbecoming of him. ?He said since the former Technical Director of Hearts is currently an employee of another club, such a statement from him represents an indictment on Hearts. "He has always believed erroneously that the club's 2000 CAF Champions League success was achieved by him alone. But it was through the efforts of all stakeholders in the club.

He should tone down his ego since that success is attributed to all structures in the club of which NCC is an integral part", he revealed. He stated that Jones Attuquayefio's undying interest in returning to Hearts is solely based on financial considerations.

"He should brighten the corner where he is now or go and help his former club, Great Olympics", he remarked.
