Vice Chairman for Ghana Referee Association, Joe Debrah, is has expressed his unhappiness to the Ghana Football Association President, Kwesi Nyantakyi for alleging that referees carry score line to matches.

Nyantakyie made this statement when the FA organized a seminar for the various clubs in other to promote Ghana football and this has come as a surprise after he made such statement.

But according Joe Debrah, he blamed teams on how they play some soft matches to aid their opponent team to win so how can you blame a referee if this happens on the field of play.

Speaking to Kumasi based Light FM, he said, “If truly this was said by the FA president I will be seriously shocked!

“Do referee play football? Do they score goals on the pitch? He demanded.
“So if a player intentionally falls for the opponent to score, will you blame the referee?

“I don’t expect the FA president to come out with this. Like I will have an open debate with him.

“He is a qualified lawyer and am now studying law. Then I will teach him that he who alleges must prove. Then he will prove to us that referees carry score line to matches.” He added.
