Harrison Afful excited to make sixty caps for Ghana

Ghanaian international Harrison Afful is delighted to make his 60th cap for the Black Stars team.

Afful made his 60th appearance for the senior National team after featuring in Ghana’s return leg encounter with Mozambique in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers last month.

The 29-year-old has been in the National team since 2008 making him one of the current longest serving members in the team.

The former Asante Kotoko defender received his first call-up to the National team for the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations in Ghana and has since gone down to become of the regulars in the team.

The fleet-footed full-back is elated to make 60appearances for his country.

“It feels great to be in the national team, because we have very good and talented players all over the World who are willing to play for Ghana,” he told ICSC.

“For me am happy to make my 60th appearances for the team and I will always do my best to help my country.

The former Espearance defender has represented Ghana at three Cup of Nations appearances and one FIFA World Cup.
