Gyan to play in Champions League

Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan has travelled to Tehran with Al Ain ahead of Wednesday’s Asian Champions League against Esteghlal.

The goal-scoring machine is expected to spearhead the attack of the UAE Pro-League side at the Azadi Stadium.

The Ghanaian super –star has been in top shape for coach Cosmin Olaroiu’s side this term where he scored an incredible 24 times in all competitions this season.

Gyan scored twice as Al Ain came from behind to beat Al Wasl 2-1 on Thursday to open an eight point lead at the top of the Pro-League table.

He was also on target in their Asian Champions League first game against Al Hilal on February 27.
