Gyan set for Russian move

Udinese and Ghana forward Asamoah Gyan is set for a move to the Russian Premier League with clubs Spartak and CSKA Moscow in the hunt, according to his brother Baffour.

"As far as I know Asamoah is ready to join some Russian club," the Saturn man told Sport Express in Russia.

"I hear that he is now in talks but I don't know with what team, CSKA or Spartak, I guess."

Lokomotiv Moscow had been linked with the 21-year-old former Modena man but since signing Peter Odemwingie from Lille they are unlikely to splash out on another forward.

Gyan scored the fastest goal at the World Cup, after only 68 seconds in the 2-0 win over the Czech Republic, becoming the first Ghanaian to score in the tournament's history. He scored six goals in 18 Serie A appearances last season and has hit the back of the net 11 times in 22 international matches.
