Gyan says he is missing European football

Al Ain striker Asamoah Gyan has indicated that he would like a return to a European club in the summer.

The former Sunderland hitman is currently plying his trade in the United Arab Emirates.

He helped his club claim an 11th Etisalat Pro League title over the weekend by firing a hat-trick in a 3-0 success against Dubai.

That increased his tally to 28 goals this season, but although the 27-year-old Ghana international claims he is enjoying life at Al Ain, he hinted that a return to Europe would be too good to turn down.

"I have won two titles here. I am scoring goals, but I'm not playing in front of 50,000 fans," he said.

"I am missing European football sometimes, but don't get me wrong I am happy here and it's nice to be here.

"However, if there is a possibility to return to a very good European club then of course I would take the opportunity. It would be very exciting to score goals again in a European league," he said.
