Gyan rejects deal to join FK Bryne

Ghana striker King Osei Gyan has rejected a move to relegated Norwegian side FK Bryne, insisting he wants to play at the highest level.

The former Fulham youngster’s contract with Viking IF has not been renewed and whiles awaiting a lifeline, a move by Bryne to sign him has been turned down.

“We have made a request to him and his agent to see if he could be interested. Until then we have received feedback that he has done so well and has such good qualities, that he will play at a higher level than the Norwegian 1 division,” Bryne coach Gaute Larsen told Eve magazine.

He added: “We'll see how his situation develops. All players wish to play at a higher level. For us it is an advantage to have as many as possible, so if we have other options ready before that we will get them.”

The 24-year-old Right to Dream groomed player also played for Germinal Beerschot and managed five goals in 53 appearances during his two years stay at Viking.
