Guinness pledges support for Black Stars

Accra, Oct. 12, GNA- The Management of Guinness Ghana Breweries (GGB) Group, on Wednesday pledged its continuous support for the Ghana Black Stars in their preparation towards the world cup tournament in Germany next year.

Mr Devlin Hainsworth, Managing Director of the GGB, said "The Black Star has made the whole nation proud. We are really proud to be part of the sponsoring team and we would continue to support them to enable them reach at least the quarter finals in next year's match." Mr Hainsworth made this known, when he unveiled a new corporate identity to reflect the leadership position and vision of the Group. He said like sports men and women, GGB, had a mission and the right attitude towards satisfying its numerous clients. "Being the most celebrated company is defined as having the first choice brands, amazing relationships and enriching communities in Ghana," he said.

Mr Hainsworth said being the third largest company listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange, it was the hope of GGB to continue to deliver first choice brands in beer and soft drinks, with the ultimate goal of becoming the fastest growing company in Ghana. The New logo plays with the interlocking of two "G" letters, which represents the first two characters of GGB. The two "G" letters have been worked into a design resembling a swirl on the top of a glass of beer. At the bottom of that is the inscription 'Guinness Ghana breweries Group'
