Grant turns deaf ear to Kwarasey’s call

Coach Avram Grant has utterly refused to give Norwegian-born Ghanaian goalie Adambathia Larsen Kwarasey audience.

Asked whether he has officially sent an invite to the Portland Timbers shot stopper since he assumed office as coach of the Black Stars at a press conference on Monday, November 30, at the GFA Secretariat, the Israeli declined to comment.

Avram Grant had earlier refused to answer a similar question on Kwarasey after the Ghana/Canada friendly international match played in the United States of America.

“There’s no story. He is not in the squad, he was not invited. Invited by whom?,” - this was Grant’s answer when he was quizzed by a journalist on why he did not invite Kwarasey.

The Portland Timbers goalkeeper retired from international football at the 2014 FIFA World Cup when he was relegated to the bench after Ghana’s opening match loss (1-2) to the United States.
