Government warns fans

MINISTRY OF YOUTH AND SPORTS ISSUES
GUIDELINES FOR SUPPORTERS TRAVELLING TO EGYPT

The Ministry of Youth and Sports wishes
to inform all Supporters travelling to Egypt to watch the play-off match
between the Black Stars and the Pharaohs’ on Tuesday, 19th November,
2013 to take note of the following guidelines:

· Do not travel with illegal items
· Avoid alcoholic beverages
· Do not taunt opposing supporters
· Ensure to move in organized groups
· Use only designated entry points to the
stadium
· Remain at the sitting area to be
allocated
· Do not make signs that have negative
meanings whilst in Egypt
· Adhere to directives from your
leadership
· Ensure your travel documents are well
secured.

These
guidelines form part of measures instituted by both Egyptian and Ghanaian
security officials to ensure incident free conditions prior, during and after
the match and therefore advises visiting supporters to abide with this
strictly.

In a Press Release signed by the Deputy PRO Larry George Botchway,the Ministry
wishes to use this
opportunity to kindly appeal to every Ghanaian to remember the Black Stars in
their prayers as we have always done, to ensure that the team puts the icing on
the cake by beating Egypt decisively and ensuring our third consecutive
appearance at the World Cup.
