Government urges Kotoko to do nation proud

Accra, Sept. 19, GNA - The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (YES) on behalf of the people of Ghana has sent a goodwill message to Kumasi Asante Kotoko as the team battles APR F/C of Rwanda in the second leg quarterfinal match of the CAF Cup Winners Cup in Kigali on Saturday.

A statement issued on Friday and signed by Mr Joe Aggrey, a Deputy minister of YES said the nation is encouraged by the assuring words of Coach Abdul Razak and his boys of performing better than what they did a fortnight ago, which Kotoko won by a thin 2-1.

"We all share your confidence, knowing that with determination, discipline and the unconquerable will that had seen this great club through several challenges in the past, victory will again be yours", the statement said.

The statement said "we see Saturday's encounter therefore, as just one of the obstacles that you need to overcome in the forward and steady march towards a final triumph that should ensure that you win the cup for our dear Ghana".

It promised Kotoko of the nation's prayers and support to bring glory to "our motherland".
