Head coach of the Black Stars, Avram Grant has advised the Ghana Football Association to improve the standards of the pitches in other to get good players to nurture their talents.

After many criticism, Grant is back to the country and has witnessed some matches since his return to the country. Many has called on the Black Stars coach not to use the senior players for the last 2017 AFCON qualifiers against Rwanda but he should give some of the local players some chance to play in the national team.

After witnessing some matches, Grant said the only to get the best out of the players is to improve the pitches we have here in Ghana.

Speaking to Asempa Sports, Grant said, “I have watched five matches and the main thing I saw was that, there are talents.

“The young players are fantastic but it is not enough because you need to develop them by using different methods.

“We need to improve the mentality, basics and the tactics but we cannot do it if the pitches are not good. I think the association has to take a bold decision which will help to develop the football and we will see that we have better players.” Grant added.
