Swansea City striker Bafetimbi Gomis has hailed the impact of Andre Ayew after the Ghanaian bagged two goals in first two games for the club.

Ayew has contributed immensely to the bright start of the Swans, scoring against Chelsea and Newcastle United.

And the 30-year-old Frenchman is delighted with the attacking firepower of the side and is particularly thrilled with the work ethics of the Ghana international.

“I know what a good player he (Ayew) is, particularly in front of goal,” he told the club’s official website.

“He showed what a quality player he was in France and he’s showing that quality here in Swansea.

“It’s important for us to have good goal scorers like Andre. With him, Gylfi (Sigurdsson), Jonjo (Shelvey) and others who can score there are lots of goals in the side.”

The Swans travel to the Stadium of Light to face Sunderland in their third fixture of the season on Saturday.
