Goldfields Snatches Heart Of Lions' Skipper

Former Heart Of Lions captain and a member of the Black Meteors bronze winning team, Adamu Mohamed (aka Sariki) has signed a two year deal with Obuasi Goldfields worth 60 million Cedis.

In an exclusive interview with Peace Fm,Adamu expressed optimism that come next season he will be a strong tower in the defensive set up of Obuasi Goldfields.According to the player he is now recovering from an injury he sustained during the Meteors' olympic qualifier against South Africa at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Adamu concluded by saying he has a burning desire to be part of Ghana's olympic team for Athens 2004,and hopes the techinical handlers of the Black Meteors will recall him into the team to help Ghana realise its dream in Athens come August 2004.
