Goalkeeper Adade delighted with late Stars call up

Ghana goalkeeper Adade Foli is delighted with his debut late call up to the Black Stars for the World Cup qualifier against Zambia.

The Medeama SC goalkeeper was handed a call up by Black Stars coach Kwasi Appiah to replace Norway-based Adam Larsen Kwaresey who pulled out of the initial 26-man squad due to a groin injury.

The 21-year-old who is a member of the Local Black Stars in an exclusive interview with Joy sports described the call up as the biggest surprise in his budding career.

“I feel so great because this is an opportunity I have been waiting for, I think that this is the time and I need to grab it well and be serious,” said goalie Adade.

“I’m going there to do my best and will leave the rest to the officials, but I know all will go well,” he added.

Foli Adade trained with the team for the first time on Tuesday evening at the Accra Sports Stadium.
