Ghatel Ladies beat King Carmet 2-0

Cape Coast, Dec. 18, GNA- Cape Coast Ghatel Ladies thrashed Brafoyaw King Carmet U-14 Colts Team 2-0 in a friendly soccer match played at Victoria Park on Saturday.

The match formed part of Ghatel's preparations towards the impending the Central and Western Regions Ladies gala competition to be held at Sekondi next week.

King Carmet took control of affairs but their forwards failed to utilize the many chances that came their way.

Ghatel warmed themselves into the game and scored the opener through their playmaker, Mary Baidoo, in the half hour mark. On resumption, King Carmet forced Ghatel Ladies to defend most of the time but their hopes of leveling up got shattered when Mary Baidoo hit the net for the second time against the run of play.
