Ghanaian Striker Shines in Dubai

Former Black Satellite and Ghapoha striker Andrew Mensah Pomanie now on loan to Accra Great Olympics is reported to have been performing wonders in the Dubai league where he plays his football.

Reports say Pomanie who last played for Ghapoha Raiders has netted 19 times for his team, Adma F/C to emerge the goal king in the Dubai league last season. Signed barely a year ago, Pomanie featured prominently for his team, Adma, a third division club.

Pomanie who was the leading striker for Ghapoha Raiders prior to his departure caused a stir when he led the goal king race in Ghana before being edged out by eventual winner Joe Fameyeh, formerly of Accra Hearts of Oak.

Pomanie who also played for the national under 23 side, the Black Meteors is currently on loan to Olympics. He is however expected to leave Olympics at the end of the league season for Dubai to join his club Adma f/c for a training tour before the commencement of their league in October. Last Sunday Pomanie scored two goals at the Accra Sports Stadium to give Olympics a 4-2 win over Bofoakwa.
