Ghanaian Coaches Draw In Sudan League Game

Coaches Kwesi Appiah and counterpart Moses Cofie, both from Ghana made history in Sudan by teaching the indigenes to play football that is so admirable, full of power and tension that no winner emerged.
The crucial league game played on Thursday May 7, 2015 saw former Black Stars Coach James Kwesi Appiah’s team Khartoun Watari scoring the first goal before Master Tactician Moses Cofie, formerly of Great Oly, Hearts of Oak and Liberty Professional fame and his boys rallied to equalize and pressed for the winner.
Al Nisoor, with Moses Cofie in charge played better in the dying minutes of the game but missed the begging opportunities that came by.
The Sudan League which is very competitive has clubs like Hilan Onduman who are the leaders, Al Merriekh, Shendi at the third spot, with Watari at the fourth position.
According to Moses Cofie whose team in placed sixth, they will work hard to be in the Top Four at the end of the season.
“Prospects are bright, we are playing very well this season, we hope to keep the momentum and raise our game to beat the best. We are rated as the most fearful side in Sudan Soccer and we want to prove that we are capable. My boys are disciplined and I can say that is our weapon” he told yours truly.
