Ghana to play Nigeria?

Eagles to tackles World Cup Finalists

The Nigerian Football Association (NFA) have lined up four high-profile international friendly matches for the Super Eagles ahead of the African Cup of Nations qualifiers kicking off in September.

Top of the bill opponents are World Cup finalists England, Spain and Ghana, as well as South Africa.

NFA Chairman Ibrahim Galadima declared that his association have contacted the respective countries and hopes to get a positive response on the proposed dates soon.

According to him, the association have put forward dates between July and August, just before the commencement of the Nations Cup qualifiers in September. The matches have been arranged to put the national team in shape for their opening Group Three fixture against Niger Republic.

Two other countries contesting the group ticket against Nigeria are Lesotho and Uganda. The group winners are guaranteed automatic qualification to the finals holding in Ghana in 2008.
