Ghana to begin Razak Iddrisu’s nationality switch

The Ghana FA is set to begin the nationality switch of German youth international Razak Iddrisu in the coming weeks, Goal Ghana can exclusively reveal.

The 18-year-old striker, who plays for both Wolfsburg Under-19 and 23 has committed his international future to Ghana after previously featuring for the U-16 team of the European giants.

“We have forwarded both his German and Ghanaian passports as well as a letter he has written stating that he wants to play for Ghana to the Ghana Football Association,” Iddrisu’s spokesperson Edmund Okai Gyimah confirmed to Goal.

“It is left with a letter from the German FA which will be in by the close of the week and we will also forward it to the GFA to be sent to FIFA in the coming weeks so that the nationality switch can begin.”

The striker who wants to play for the Black Satellites has been in terrific form for the junior side of Wolfsburg, helping them gain promotion to the U23 level.

Iddrisu was born in Tema to former Black Starlet striker Abu Iddrisu before moving to Germany at a very tender age.
