Ghana slip to 45th in FIFA Ranking

Ghana slipped two spots down to hold 45th position in this month's edition of the FIFA Ranking for national team launched by the football governing body.

The Black stars registered a 2-0 win against Morocco and lost 0-5 to Saudi Arabia in a friendlies this month

Ghana is ranked 9th on the continent -dropping from the 2nd position she held in May.

At the top, world champions Italy retained their place at the summit after a goalless draw with France and a 2-1 victory over Ukraine in the Euro 2008 qualifiers.

Nigeria 23rd in the world, leads the field on the African continent, followed by Cameroun who are 25 worldwide and then Cote d’Ivoire, who are also 27th in the world. Guinea (30), Tunisia (37), Morocco (38), Senegal (40), Egypt (43), Ghana (45) and Mali (49) complete Africa’s best 10 on the ladder.
