Ghana's Dismal Performance: The People's voice

  • Stop pointing fingers and support the stars and their technical staff 'cos all is not lost. -- sam darkwah

  • I believe the head coach should take the blame......when ur star player is hurt and you have people on the bench who are 100% fit u dont play your star player -- Kwesi

  • I believe the Coach has done nothing. Those who are calling for the blood of the Coach, if we were faced with such a situation,What could we have done with the kind of players Duya had at the time? Lets be fair to the Coach
    -- Kofi Adjei, Sakumono

  • I think the coach should have done a better job on Appiah when he realised he was hurt. More players should be invited to justify their inclusion, for example, Sam Johnson. The coach could not read the games. Bad coach, should be dismissed and our local coaches for replacement. Whrer is attuquafio, the former Hearts coach? -- Alexander boakye

  • A local newspaper here reported him saying he's missed three key players and therefore thinks we'll not go far. Is it a table tennis tournament? He should have pulled out rather than disgracing us. He should be blamed for our early exit and explain why he made those comments.
    -- joseph - london

  • I personally feel that most of the players were not the right type for the senior national team. -- niinai kwade

  • Please do not blame the coach, he's done nothing to deserve Ghanaian wrath, let's pick our axes together and with God and better training we can pull surprise at the world cup in Germany. --Gabriel Amoah, sunyani

  • Duya said he was employed to "qualify the Black Stars for the World Cup". Fine, he has done what he came to do. Ghana should thank him and say goodbye. If he flops in Germany, his excuse will be "I was employed to qualify for WC"
    -- K. L

  • Dujkovic's player management and unnecessary favouritism was our bane -- Daniel

  • Unfortunatly, the coach made unfit players play, but he might have acted out of frustration, given that he had six key players out. To me he is the most successful foreign coach thus far. He should be on for the World Cup as CK Gyamfi suggests. --Bamfo

  • Everybody needs appreciate and stop critising. We need to come together as a nation, support both the players and the technical team. And lets not forget half a loaf is better than none. The coach must keep his job Ato Frempong

  • The Stars Lost due to poor player selection. It is time we do away with the so-called professionals and build the team with local players. With the exception of the goalkeeper and three other players all the rest are no good anyway. -- Andy Mensah

  • Strongly believe that Duya hasn't got his best team yet even with the inclusion of the three key inured players. He still needs to cast a wider net for more players to justify themselves. --Richard Otoo

  • ... the PROBLEM is the coach. He's good for qualifcations, not for tournaments. Other than this, why did Venezuela sack him, followed by Rwanda, then it comes to Ghana? All these nations DUKOVIC somehow managed to qualify for tournaments they had never been to...BUT HE MESSED UP LATER like this Ghana saga, and was sacked! You think i am guessing, go ask the RWANDAN FA!! Dukovic has no tactics for tournaments, and he's easily exposed as a bad tactician when his main men are not present or are injured.....MARK MY WORDS! The world cup would be more terrible if he continues..!
    -- SAM, NY-USA

  • What has local coaches got to do with this. Duya is the decision maker and he need to face the music and stop blaming the locals. -- nana yaw annan

  • "Without me they never qualified for the World Cup. They contracted me to qualify for the World Cup and I did it. This competition is something different." This is waht the coach said. do we still need such an arrogant coach
    -- Apenteng, Canada
