Ghana receive FIFA grant

FIFA has awarded the Ghana Football Association $US 250,000 from their Development Fund despite controversy over a similar grant last year. The Ghana FA received $US 250,000 from FIFA last year to fund the development of the game, only for allegations of mismanagement of the money by the FA administration of the time, headed by Alhaji M.N.D. Jawula, to cause a media outcry.

There has still been no probe into the application of the money, despite calls by members of the Executive Council of the FA who claim they were not informed about the fund.

However, FIFA have accepted the accounts of the Ghanaian FA, and have now awarded another grant of $US 250,000 dollars.
