Ghana prepares for friendly with Nigeria

Twenty-one members of Ghana's national team selected from local clubs have been invited to a camp that begun on 9 December, ahead of a friendly match with Nigeria on the 15th of December.

Nigerian football authorities have scheduled two friendlies against Togo and Ghana in the next two weeks, in continuation of ongoing efforts to build a new Super Eagles team ahead of next year's qualifiers for the 2004 Nations Cup finals.

For the coach, Christian Chukwu, all the next matches were a continuation of the rebuilding of the national team. Last month, the mainly home-based Eagles were held to a 2-2 draw by World Cup quarter-finalists Senegal in Dakar, hold Jamaica to a 0-0 draw in Lagos on november and played out a 1-1 draw with Egypt .
