Ghana opponents struggle for friendlies

Namibia, Ghana's rivals in Group A of next month's African Cup of Nations, are finding it extremely difficult to get opponents for warm-up games ahead of the tournament.

The southern Africans have arrived in Germany to prepare for Africa's showpiece football event, which starts on 20 January in Accra.

The Namibians are camping for a fortnight at Kamen-Kaiserau at the invitation of the German Football Federation, the first opportunity that new coach Arie Schans has to meet his players.

But because German clubs have all broken for the winter break, the local hosts have been unable to find a team for the Namibians.
