Ghana midfielder Acquah nets in Parma defeat

Ghana international Afriyie Acquah netted his first professional goal in club football but that did not help Parma as they were thrashed 4-2 by Roma in mid-week.

Roma who were playing at home took the lead as early as the 12th minute through Gervinho but the in-form Ghanaian defensive midfielder burst up front and equalised in the 15th minute to make the score even.

Francesco Totti then put Roma back in front in the 16th minute before Miralem Prajnic netted the third for the second placed team in the 49th minute.

Despite Parma's not too impressive performance on the day, Acquah stood tall and was easily the best player of his side winning the applause of fans when he made way for Walter Gargano in the 71st minute.

Rodrigo Taddei made it four for the home side on the 82nd minute before former Inter forward Jonathan Biabiany struck for Parma in time added on to make it 4-2.
