Ghana lining up Holland friendly

The Ghana FA have confirmed talks are underway to secure a high profile international friendly against the Netherlands ahead of the 2014 World Cup.

The GFA is in discussions will several countries over friendly games for the Black Stars before next year’s tournament in Brazil.

The Ghana FA intends to equip the Black Stars with adequate preparations to face the herculean challenge to be presented by Germany, Portugal and USA at the group stage of the World Cup.

It has now emerged amongst the several high profile games being lined up include an exciting prospect of playing the star-studded Holland team.

“Holland is a possible opponent but nothing has been firmed up,” Ghana FA spokesman Ibrahim Sannie-Daara told Peace FM.

“We are looking to play at least three high profile friendly matches before the World Cup.

“At this point various dynamics come into play but once everything is formed up the announcement will be made.”

Ghana want to progress further at next year’s World Cup than the quarter final finish in the last edition almost four years ago in South Africa.
