Ghana keeper Kwarasey suffers hip injury

Ghana goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey is suffering from a hip injury and is being monitored by the medical staff of Portland Timbers.

Confirming the injury, Timbers coach Caleb Porter said it is not alarming and the former Stromsgodset shot-stopper should be fit soon.

The Norway-born Ghanaian last line of defence spent training Thursday stretching out his hip with a trainer on the side of practice.

“He just had a little tight hip, but nothing major,” Porter told the press.

“He's 100 percent, but it's a little bit tight, so we're just trying to protect him a little bit. These two days, it's almost like a reset a little bit and then we get back to work on Monday, so we didn't want to push it.”
