Ghana deserve to win, says Osaze

Nigerian striker, Osaze Odewingie revealed after the semi-final loss to Ghana that it was Nigeria’s poor tactical approach that made Ghana run away into the final with a 1-0 win.

Osaze submitted in post match interview that Ghana were more organised and they deserved their victory over the Eagles the second in a two editions of the Nations Cup.

“We were tired and that is not the only reason we lost. Ghana was playing one striker up front, they sat back and waited for us, but we played only one striker up front as well, we have no attacking options.

“We have been playing 4-4-3, but against Ghana we were not attacking the way we ought to. “Ghana deserved their win”.

He disclosed that the third place game billed for Benguela on Saturday was going to be very difficult as the team, was tired out by the travels across the vast Angola territory as they chased the Nations Cup glory.

“For the third place match, it is going to be difficult. Maybe those who have not been playing should have to play, We are playing on Saturday and we have only 24 hours to travel,” Osaze remarked.
