Ghana can qualify for Beach Soccer World Cup - FIFA Instructor

FIFA Beach Soccer Instructor Talib Hilal has urged the Ghana Beach Soccer Association (GBSA) to work hard and put the right structures in place in order to qualify for the next FIFA World Cup Finals in Tahiti.

The former player and current coach of Oman who is currently in Ghana for a one-week beach soccer coaches course also expressed his delight at the progress made so far by GBSA without direct assistance from FIFA or the GFA.

Mr. Hilal also promised to support the sport now that the Ghana FA and GBSA have joined forces to develop the game while he challenged the GBSA to enter qualifications for Brazil 2016.

He said this during the opening ceremony of the course which is currently underway at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence where over 20 beach soccer coaches will be taken through both theory and practical aspect of the sport.

President of the association, Mr. Yaw Ampofo Ankrah who postponed his trip to London for Olympics presented at certificate of appreciation to Mr. Hilal on behalf of the association before the course begun.

The course which is being organized by FIFA in conjunction with the Ghana Football Association is the first of its kind in the country and in West Africa
