Ghana Without Two Key Players For Angola Friendly

Black Stars’ captain Stephen Appiah and Samuel Inkoom have asked for permission from coach Milovan Rajevac to attend to club commitments.

The Ghana coach confirmed that the two players have been excused.

“Both will not be part of the team for the friendly. They will have to attend to pressing club issues so we agreed on that,” Rajevac told the official website of the Ghana Football Association - Ghanafa.org.

The West African football giants are lining up an 18-man squad to play Manuel Jose's Palancas Negras at the Conqueiros Stadium in the capital Luanda. The southern Africans are using the game to test one of their match venues ahead of the finals of the Orange 2010 African Cup of Nations.

Ghana’s coach announced two more additions to his squad.

“Rahim [Ayew] and Opoku [Agyemang] will be part of the team for the game. But Daniel Addo is out of it.”
