Ghana Switch Venue For Congo Nations Cup Qualifier

Ghana’s have moved next month Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Congo to the city of Kumasi and brought the game forward by a day.

The game was originally scheduled for the capital city of Accra on 4 June. But it will be played on Saturday 3 June in Kumasi to allow the team enough time to travel to South Korea for a friendly on 7 June.

It is suspected that floodlight and scoreboard problems at the Accra Sports Stadium could have prompted the switch.

Ghana FA vice president Fred Pappoe revealed the switch of venue without giving the reasons for the decision.

Ghana leads qualifying group I on goal difference from Sudan on seven points after the first three games.
