German Amateur Side Sack Lawrence Aidoo

Ghana striker Lawrence Aidoo has been sacked by German amateur side FC Wegberg-Beeck for extending his holidays without approval. The 28-year-old had a telephone conversation with his coach Andre Sieberichs to extend his summer holidays in Ghana turned down but reported late to camp.

So FC Wegberg-Beeck decided to terminate the contract with the former Borussia Mönchengladbach player.

In early March, just before the Middle Rhine Cup match against Windeck Germania, he trained for months with Beeck to regain his fitness. Aidoo was to replace Michael Mevens who was a flop at the club. He played 14 games for Beeck and scored one goal-against Hürth in a 3-0 scoreline.
