GUSA games: UCC continue with wins

Cape Coast, Jan.26, GNA- The University of Cape Coast (UCC) continued their winning spree when they disposed of University of Education Winneba 1-0 in the soccer competition of the on-going GUSA games at Cape Coast.

UCC who earlier beat Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) 3-1, University for Development Studies (UDS), 5-0 were this time round matched squarely by the Winneba lads throughout the game until the final whistle.

The match started off on a fast note under the instruction of class one referee, Joshua Mensah with both sides entertaining the sparse crowd with short and accurate passes.

And with the ball swinging from one end of the field to the other, UCC's outside right, Justice Dzeagri beat an offside trap to score the only goal of the match in the 12th minute, which turned out to be the match winner.

The University of Education from then on forced the tide in their favour and made frantic efforts to equalise but try as they did, they could not fetch the equalizer till the final whistle for full time.

In another encounter, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) beat University for Development Studies, (UDS) by a lone goal.
