GNPC urges Black Stars on

The Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) has urged the Black Stars to go all out to defeat Guinea in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifier in Morocco on Saturday.

A statement signed by Mr. Alex Mould. Acting Chief Executive said, “We urge the players, technical and management teams to tune up in readiness for their next back-to-back matches with the Syli Nationale of Guinea.

“Keep rising to the top, by winning these two important matches, to assure qualification to AFCON 2015,” the statement added.

The statement called on Ghanaians and all fans of the Black Stars, to rally behind the team, to make the country proud.

The Black Stars will engage Guinea in back-to-back qualifiers in Morocco and Ghana for Afcon 2015.

The Stars, who started the campaign on a shaky note, after they were held to a one all draw game at the Kumasi Sports Stadium, but managed to revive their chances by beating Togo in Lome in the second game.

A victory for the Stars will enhance their chances of securing a ticket to the competition much brighter.
