GHANSU wishes Hearts and Kotoko well

Accra, Aug 24, GNA 96 The Ghana National Supporters Union (GHANSU) has sent goodwill messages to Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko ahead of their continental games this weekend.

Hearts are playing host to Orlando Pirates of South Africa at the Obuasi Len Clay sports stadium and are in search of their first three points in the competition, whilst Asante Kotoko seeks to snatch the maximum three points at the jaws of Egyptian giants, El-Ahly in Egypt. In a message sent to the two teams signed by Mr Abraham Boakye, President of GHANSU, it called on Ghanaians to rally solidly behind the two teams to enable them achieve success in their encounters. =93Even though Kotoko will be playing in far away in Egypt, members of GHANSU will be there in their numbers to give them massive support, taking into consideration the important role fans play in modern football=94.

The statement added that even though the 91Never Say Die' spirit of the Phobians has not enjoyed a good beginning in the championship, the Association is sure that the Pirates will definitely be in trouble at Obuasi.

The Association also congratulated the national Under-21 soccer team, the Black Satellites for overcoming their Senegalese counterparts to advance to the next stage of the qualifiers. It also congratulated Ghana's athletic team for their impressive showing at the just ended African Championship in Mauritius.
