GFA technical directorate takes national coaches to task

Footy-ghana.com understands that the technical directorate of the Ghana Football Association has taken national coaches to task for failing to involve the Technical Committee in the discharge of their duties.

According to our sources, these concerns were raised at a meeting of national coaches last week at the GFA headquarters.

Footy-ghana.com understands that one of the concerns raised was the reluctance of national coaches to present their technical reports to members of the technical committee, instead choosing to present it through chairmen of the various national team management committees to the GFA Executive Committee.

According to sources close to the technical directorate, co-ordination with the technical committee would help rather than hinder the work of the coaches, with the example of Goran Stevanovic’s leaked technical report as a case in point.

National coaches were also urged to be fair and firm in selecting players for the various teams so as not to encourage unsubstantiated rumours and allegations of bribe taking.
