GFA shortlists three for Black Stars' job

Accra, Nov. 10, GNA - The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has short-listed three coaches from whom one will be chosen to assume responsibility as the Head Coach of the Black Stars, the senior national soccer team.

The three are Ghanaian, Bashiru Hayford currently coach of Kpando Heart of Lions, Frenchman Philippe Troussier and Serbian, Ratomir Djukovic.

A statement signed on Wednesday by Mr Emmanuel Gyimah, for the General Secretary of the GFA said the three coaches were picked from a short list of seven "after successfully carrying out a due diligence and preliminary discussions on the seven coaches."

The statement said the GFA would within "the next one week hold discussions with the three coaches on their proposals terms of agreement and other related issues."

It assured that at the end of the exercise, "the most suitable of the three coaches will be appointed as Head Coach of the Black Stars."
