GFA set to ratify affiliation fees increment for clubs

Footy-ghana.com can confirm that, subject to ratification at next week’s congress, the Ghana Football Association has informed Premier League and Division One League clubs about new affiliation fees set to be paid.

Previously, each Premier League club paid yearly affiliation fees of GH¢50 whilst each Division One League Club paid GH¢25.

According to a letter sighted by footy-ghana.com dated 24 August 2012 and addressed to all clubs, each Premier League club will now pay GH¢5000 whilst each Division One League club will pay GH¢2000.

Clubs pay affiliation fees before the start of each new season to enable them compete and following ratification by the GFA Congress next week, clubs will have to start paying up.

Affiliation fees for the lower divisions will soon be determined by the GFA.
