The Ghana Football Association (GFA) Normalisation Committee (NC), has rejected the call by Asante Kotoko to change the format of the Special Competition, ahead of their semi-final clash against Hearts, at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, June 16.

Kotoko earlier on Monday, vented their frustration on the GFA NC over their silence on the issues, having written to them on the subject matter since May 27, 2019.

But according to a press statement signed by Mr. Ismail G. Amin, Deputy General Secretary of GFA, said ''your reference to Article 11(5) of the regulations is alien to the matter under discussion, and will direct you to refer to Article 12(5) of the Regulations for clear understanding''.

The statement also added that they communicated the revised details of the competition to Kotoko in a letter dated March 22 through their official email and reiterated that the disbursement formula for the sharing of the gate proceeds cannot be changed.

''As already indicated in the Competition Management System, the semi-final match between Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko still remains at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, June 16, 2019.

Kotoko is, however, likely to pull out from the Tier One of the NC Special Competition following the stance of the GFA.
