GFA pledges to resolve BA Utd impasse

THE Ghana Football Association (GFA) has advised the two factions in Brong Ahafo United to exercise restraint in their actions and utterances in order to avoid any unpleasant occurrences which will be detrimental to the progress and development of the game in the country.

A statement signed by the Chairman of the GFA, Mr Ben Koufie, gave the assurance that they will do their possible best to bring peace to the troubled club within the shortest possible time before the commencement of the coming season.

The statement explained that the GFA is yet to take a decision on the findings of a three-man delegation which was sent to Sunyani on a fact-finding mission in respect of the confusion and antagonism which disturbed the smooth running of the club.

“Much as it is the resolve of the FA never to interfere in the internal affairs of its affiliate clubs, the mother body cannot shirk its responsibility when it is to instil sanity and tranquillity in the administration of the game”, it stressed.

The statement emphasised that the FA is not happy about the current development in the club and is therefore looking forward to perfect co-operation from all concerned factions in the present fracas, “if indeed, they all cherish the progress and stability of B.A. United FC.”
