GFA order 'wayward' Anobaah to return to Medeama

The Ghana FA has quashed the floating status request from Theophilus Anobaah and has ordered him to return to Medeama, the club confirmed on Friday.

The 23-year-old has been engaged in long tussle over his contract following the decision of the club to slap him with an indefinite suspension for breach of contract.

The former CHAN star signed a three-year deal with Egyptian side Petrojet which forced the Tarkwa-based side to impose the sanction.

The aggrieved winger dragged the club to the Ghana FA to seek floating but that has been thrown out the adjudicating body on Thursday.

“Medeama have won their case brought against the club by Theophilus Anobaah, a club statement read.

“The Ghana FA status committee has ruled in favour of the club and has ordered him to return to the club.

“We’re very delighted with the ruling which vindicates our position right from the start of this whole episode.

“The club will later hold a meeting to know the next course of action to take in the wake of the latest ruling.

The 2014 CHAN star played a bit-part role for Medeama in their debut campaign in the CAF Confederation Cup this year.
