GFA, Man City to partner in football development

The Ghana Football Association have announced an imminent overseas partnership with English champions, Manchester City.

A three-man delegation to be headed by GFA President, Kwesi Nyantakyi will be at the Etihad Stadium this weekend to firm up the partnership.

According to the GFA President, Kwesi Nyantakyi, the partnership see Ghana benefit in the areas of youth development, coaching and commerce.

“In furtherance of the objective to improve the game here, we will be doing a collaboration with Manchester City Football Club,” Kwesi Nyantakyi told a media briefing on Thursday.

"They have invited us to discuss issues of coaching, player development and the exploitation of commercial activities. We will meet their coach in charge of youth development and their staff responsible for commercial activities."

The program will also allow the Manchester City officials to visit Ghana to see to other areas of cooperation.
